Myth: Lack of Motivation

Image
Many people think they lack motivation . . but what they really lack is clarity . . we fail to realize that small habits and little choices . . are transforming us every day already . . 1% better 1% worse . . everyday there are four stages of habit formation . noticing . . wanting . . doing and liking seeing a cup of coffee wanting to drink coffee actual act of drinking then i need to enjoy the action . . as a reward there is this strategy in a study . . implementation intentions they had three cohorts in this study . . 1st cohort - "I just want you to track how often you workout for the next few weeks" 2nd group - "we want to track off and you exercise we're also gonna give you a motivational speech about the benefits of heart health" 3rd group - "they got the same presentation so they're equally motivated and then they did one thing differently" . . they filled out this sent...

No Sympathy

Like in a musical piece every note has to fit with every other note across the entire span of the piece . . that's what your life needs to be like . . how you act with yourself right now . . has to be in harmony with what you want for yourself tomorrow . . It's not only that you repeat across time and have to take that into account its that you repeat across time in the context of your social life and the sacrificial motif is a huge part of that . That also is something that runs contrary in some sense to empathy . . because sometimes you have to beat yourself on the back of the head with a stick . . to get yourself to move forward properly . . even though you know I should be doing this "I should be doing this" "I don't want to . . it's hard . " no sympathy for that . you have to do it because otherwise things are going to get worse With ❤️️ SuperHindustani
