Consequences and Transference: Agloe New York

Talking about consequences and transference..
A very interesting story I read
.
About CARTOGRAPHER
..
Is a person who study and practice making maps
.
Before google maps, this was a serious profession
.
One of the most interesting part they did was to create a "paper town"
..
or a fake town in their maps
..
to catch those who might copy their work
.
So, if they find their hypothetical paper town turns up in any other company's maps,
That would mean the whole map was copied, and they can now file a case based on copy right law infringement
.
And the proof being, the presence of this fake town created by the first company
.

One such place was
Agloe, New York
.
A fake town, at an intersection of two dirt roads
.

It so happened that they found out a few years later another company had same paper town in their map
So, they called the owner to confront him and sue him
To their astonishment, that guys said
.. "He made this in his map Because the town actually exists"

Because people kept going to this intersection of two dirt roads in the middle of nowhere
.. expecting there to be a place called Agloe
Someone actually built a place called Agloe
.

Imagine the time when people followed actual maps
.. So when they reached that place..
And didn't find agloe
..
Someone actually came up with the town
.

Sometimes when your ideas go through enough force
..
Through enough people
..
It can actually manifest
.
