Why is everyone so different?

 

काङ् क्षन्त: कर्मणां सिद्धिं यजन्त इह देवता: |
क्षिप्रं हि मानुषे लोके सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा || 12||

kāṅkṣhantaḥ karmaṇāṁ siddhiṁ yajanta iha devatāḥ
kṣhipraṁ hi mānuṣhe loke siddhir bhavati karmajā

 

Just completed the beginning of Gita Chapter 4 and found a small verse explaining how we choose who we are.. 



Just like in a game cricket.. 

  • Someone has to be take up one role of batsman and 
  • someone has to be a bowler.. 
  • Not everyone can just be a batsman.

That's the only way the society can function.
We pick our role based on the quality of our minds.
The texture of your mind gives color to your personality.. 

Making us inclined towards one field more than others.

There are four types of people based on the mental makeup.. 

The combination and permutation of Satva, rajas and Tamas make up 4 type of people..

  1. Scholarly - people interested in research and creation.
  2. Leaders/Fighters/Controllers - people who take charge of more than just themselves
  3. Wealth creators
  4. Service class
