The Pygmalion Effect

After seeing a very peculiar behavior (although not rare) from a person yesterday..
I recalled reading last month the Journal from The Scripps Research Institute published in 2012, and stumbling upon a study conducted by Professor Norihiro Sadatowhen
..
Which showed that
..
when you assign someone a positive trait
..
such as being smart or being a “good person”
..
that actually prompts them to live up to that trait
.

The Pygmalion Effect
.
“the phenomenon where higher expectations lead to an increase in performance”
.

High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation
.
The opposite is also true
.
Low expectations undermine achievement
.
So, especially when with people you care about, cut down the "winner and loser conversation" and strive towards a more learner approach
.
