What's EGO?

na buddhi-bhedaṁ janayed ajñānāṁ karma-saṅginām
joṣhayet sarva-karmāṇi vidvān yuktaḥ samācharan

Almost closing in to the middle of chapter 3 of Gita, and I found some interesting definition of ego.

How does your actions define what you get?

Here's a cool and simple way to understand it..

Think of this like -
We are all born with a Starbucks cup with our name on it.
Everyone's got one, full of water.
Our early years, all we think of is us. "what i do, what i got, who i am."

That's our EGO.
That's the salt in our cup.

At the end, your water will be tested - "how salty is it.?"

If you only recognize yourself with you, that's all you will be, just a very salty cup of water.

Now you can either dilute it with your family, by standing up for them.

Or you can represent something even bigger, like your nation.

That's like pouring a cup of salt water in a river, and then filling back your cup from it.

That's how you pass the test.
