Today we explore another paradigm of thinking models. The more easy to understand these models are, higher the chance that you'll remember them and use them. In my pursuit to look for easy to understand thinking models, I landed upon this book - "How Successful People Think". 

1. Importance of Creative Thinking:

   • Creativity is a valuable resource in any profession.
   • Creative thinkers bring fresh ideas and perspectives.
   • The ability to think creatively can be developed and improved.
   
   

2. Characteristics of Creative Thinkers:

   • Value ideas and rely on their discipline to manipulate their imagination.
     Example: Highly creative people are dedicated to ideas and constantly generate new ones.
   • Explore options and embrace multiple possibilities.
     Example: Creative thinkers love having different choices and consider various alternatives.
   • Embrace ambiguity and enjoy exploring gaps or inconsistencies.
     Example: They find delight in filling in gaps or using their imagination to connect seemingly unrelated ideas.
   • Celebrate the offbeat and tolerate a little oddness in their thinking.
     Example: Creativity often involves exploring unconventional or non-traditional approaches.
   • Connect the unconnected and find value in linking seemingly unrelated ideas.
     Example: Creative thinkers excel in making associations and turning things around to express them in new ways.
   • Don't fear failure and understand that failure is an inherent part of the creative process.
     Example: They are unafraid to take risks and learn from their failures.

3. Benefits of Creative Thinking:

   • Adds value to everything and enhances capabilities.
     Example: Creative thinking allows for breakthrough inventions or innovative approaches.
   • Compounds over time and increases creativity.
     Example: The more creative thinking is practiced, the more ideas and solutions emerge.
   • Draws people to you and your ideas.
     Example: Creativity makes individuals more attractive and admired by others.
   • Helps in continuous learning and generating more solutions.
     Example: By actively seeking new ideas, creative thinkers constantly expand their knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
   • Challenges the status quo and drives innovation.
     Example: Creative thinking is essential for improving the world and bringing about positive change.

4. Strategies to Foster Creative Thinking:

   • Remove creativity killers, such as negative attitudes or rigid rules.
     Example: Avoid phrases like "It can't be done" or "We've tried that before."
   • Ask the right questions to stimulate creative thinking.
     Example: Focus on asking open-ended questions that challenge assumptions and encourage new perspectives.
